Oak Alley Plantation is a plantation located at Vacherie, Louisiana, exactly at 3645 Highway 18 (Great River Road), Vacherie, LA 70090, USA. The building designed by George Swainy on 1837 for Jacques Telesphore Roman. It’s named as Oak Alley because the alley in front of the building, created by a double row of live oaks. It’s about 800 feet long and planted in the early 1700s.

The building has a square shape plan. It’s also has high ceilings, large windows, a symmetrical facade and interior plan, and a second-floor gallery for viewing purposes. Originally, the floor made by marble, but now it changed into wooden. The interior used a clasical style, brings old memorable on the mansion. But the interisting one is the alley which leads towards the Mississippi River.
