Kemper Arena is a big sports arena designed by Helmut Jahn in 1974. The arena located at 1800 Genessee, Kansas City, Missouri, USA and used large exposed trusses as the construction.

With 19,500 seat on it, this modern style arena hosted many events like NCAA Final Four basketball games, professional basketball and hockey teams, the 1976 Republican National Convention, a 1976 “Paul McCartney & Wings” concert and several Queen concerts.

The building’s name took from R. Crosby Kemper Sr. who donated $3.2 million from his estate for the arena. It used three giant exterior trusses, makes it free of interior column which can obstructing views. The metal walls and roof suspended on the three giant trusses.
