inside Vertically Developed Family Home Featuring Spiral Staircase
Designer Akihisa Hiratahas designed a unique house called Coil in a narrow site in Japan. Due to its narrow space, the development of the house is extending vertically with simple exterior design of basic rectangular shape. The very character of the house is marked with the existence of an immense twisted staircase leading to the top floor which also establishes the management of interiors around it. The interior itself is developed in minimalist style with main feature a minimalist shelving system around the stairway, a very practical one.

1I really love this house. I’d love to see how the bedroom ended up. I am sure its really amazing. The house is well designed and really looks cool. Probably not that awesome for really young children or an older crowd as stairs are sometimes difficult. This house is just adorable!

2This is a neat idea. I like how the stair cases make up the individual rooms in the house. I wonder how it would work with multiple rooms. Floor plan please!
