Do you remember this table with honeycomb pattern by Sam Stringleman? Before designing that table, Sam designed this Fall-off table as the beginning of his investigation into surface. Fall-off table is a computer generated table that showing a unique web-like pattern on its surface. This pattern actually is a voronoi pattern, which is a mathematical way of dividing a space into a number of regions. The pattern defined by the placement of objects, such as laptop or coffee cup, on a virtual table through a web interface. The result is a unique table that can support only required objects. Place another objects and it will Fall Off.
