Designed by Robby Cuthbert, this unique shelf was inspired by suspension bridge. It was made from two types of wood, mahogany for the fin and red oak for the shelf. The shelf is suspended by wires that mimics the construction of suspension bridge, balancing the unbalanced shelf while creating beautiful contours. More description by Robby Cuthbert:

This suspension bridge-inspired shelf is a great modern addition to any room. A sculptural piece in its own right, the shelf is especially great for those who want to be economical with their floor space. A vertical mahogany fin mounts to the wall while the red oak shelf floats one inch out. The shelf is cantilevered out from the mahogany fin with steel cables that bear the load of books and other items while at the same time creating beautiful contours. Weight limit is 45 lbs, evenly distributed. The shelf is easily mounted in about 15 minutes with several everyday tools.
