This is a unique and interesting lamp designed by Enrico Franzolini for Pallucco. The lamp is made by blowing glass in a wire cage. The result is amazing and interesting. The wire cage holds the glass and acts as the main structure while the glass itself gives a unique form with its bulging parts. See the video here. More description by Pallucco:

A design which brings back an ancient craft technique, the glass blowing in a cage, to create a luminous, amber and organic object like a cocoon standing or suspended in the room.

The blowing gives the glass slight irregularities in the shape and tiny bubbles of air which appear to float in the material, making each single creation unique. The exposed metal structure, with its graphic play, gives this lamp a strong personality even when switched off.

A family of lamps composed by a pendant and a table version.
Structure: dark grey finished metallic cage.
Blown glass in cage, in the colors: topaz, white, grey.
