This is a modern wooden house exterior designed by Marc Boutin Architectural Collaborative. The house has sophisticated relationships between interior and exterior space with great views to the Rocky Mountains and the city centre to the west. All levels of the house has a social space with view terraces on expansive floor to ceiling glazing. Developed for a family of four, the house offers facilitates socializing with family and friends. The house design is maximize the relationship between inside and outside of the house. For the Living Room and the Kitchen, it wrapped around a south-west facing courtyard. The outdoor fireplaces located on courtyard and upper level view terrace that can be used in the fall and spring transitional seasons.
For the materials, it using stone cladding on the main level to show conceptual gesture that integrates the landscape into the interior spaces of the house.
