This is an urban single family house designed by IDEA Office. This house has modern design with facade on the front that help to create a private area behind this facade. This facade design is a result of owner’s request to have privacy without sacrificing a strong connection to the outdoors. Another request are to maintain solar access in all of the rooms of the house and to use outdoor space to enhance the feeling of openness and volume within an otherwise modest dwelling. All these request done by the facade design that offers a privacy to the occupants while give open spaces where sunlight can go inside the house through this space. This open space also can be used as playing or gather area for kids and the parents.
This house consist of three levels. You can find carport, utility and garden on the ground level. On the second floor you can find primary living spaces, while on third level you can find children’s bedrooms. From all of these rooms you can see the private terrace and garden. It place the living area at the rear position of this house, provide privacy from the street.
