This is a gorgeous design of house, themed in gray and brown color that give a cool and natural atmosphere. This Engawa House is designed by Sullivan Conard Architects using timber as the main material. At the center of the house, there is a space designed for air circulation called light core. It’s a vessel-like structure that rising to a clerestory. The timber-frame structure inspired by Japanese architecture, used at the light core, window structures, screening devices of glass and lattice, and a south-facing veranda edge between interior and garden.
“Engawa House’s spare detailing allows materials to speak of themselves, of the art of construction, and of a creative process marked by owner, architect, and craftsmen finding stillness amid the complex demands of house design and construction.”
Here are some photos of this gorgeous gray and brown house with natural atmosphere.
