Hall table, Canadian Maple and Black Cabbage.

This piece was designed with small scale batch production in mind. The design was a development on the simple and clean lines employed by the shakers in their furniture – hence where the long tapered legs came from. I am trying to find and dial in my own personal style; in this I have tried to explore the illusion of a floating table top and suspended drawer’s. The idea behind the table top cut out is to draw the user in for a closer look and touch at the details.
