This is an elegant restaurant that has organic design, make a sensation of entering big mushroom. Actually it inspired by the traditional Japanese festival of the Cherry Blossom in bloom called HANAMI, but looks the result become different. Designed by Koichi Takada Architects, they want to give a sensation of dining under the cherry blossom trees – a great place to gather for family and friends. The big tree chosen as a symbol that the restaurant will be growing big like tree.
The canopy is made by timber which cut using CNC technology, give a natural elements into the restaurant. This tree decoration also used to filter the light, create beautiful dappled light pattern.
“We wish to emulate the comfort and tranquility the canopy of tree can create. Timber profiles create the branches of the tree, transforming the Sushi Train restaurant into a place of nature. Dappled light filters between the timber branches. The flairs of light change as you move throughout the restaurant, mimicking the irregularity of natural sunlight, while highlighting the path of the Sushi Train.”
