This is an interesting office designed by Wasserfall Munting Architects, located on a narrow 1500m2 cul-de-sac property in the residential area of Klein Windhoek. This office is a remodeling from a house, using some elements of the old house to become this modern office building. The clients want to keep the immaculate garden, use of off-shutter concrete and the introduction of a water element. Also they want to provide separate office for theirs three partners with views of the garden. The result is this modern and cozy office building with three individual office that have glass facade where you can see the garden through it. This building has simple and geometric design with a winged and centrally cantilevered concrete roof. Two sides below this roof there are clerestory windows that faced to south and north, allows sufficient daylight to enter the building. Minimalist and robust is a feeling when you see this building, clarified by the low maintenance material, exposed structural elements that used alongside unadorned concrete, steel and aluminium, timber and glass as the materials.
