This is an analog cooling ceramic screen that can make your house cooler without the use of electricity. All you need to do is run a bit of cold water in the morning. Not only as a cooling, it also offer a fantastically lovely bit of interior design as a conduit. Designed by Mey kahn and Boaz Kahn, ECOoler is a system that made of ceramic and each of them connected via water hose nozzles, creating a grid of essentially natural coolers that work by evaporating water.
The design is based on two traditional Middle-Eastern item. First is Mashrabiya, an architectural element that acts as mediator between the inside and the outside. It made of a clay or cement brick with a form that allows air to travel in whilst continuing to keep all manner of uninvited guests out. Second is Jara, a jug that holds cooling water that works by evaporating and seeping through the clay it is made of.
