The Breathing Chair is a unique chair designed by Yu-Ying Wu, a graduate from the Department of Industrial Design at the Taiwan-based Tatung University. This chair looks like a piece of white square tofu made of high-density foam plastic that is 100 percent environmentally-friendly. The holes in the chair is not only ordinary holes to furnish the design, but it has a “trick” based on professional calculation of the spatial structure. It contains three layers of foamed plastic and can automatically adjust according to the weight and posture of the person sitting on it. It won the home furniture design concept award of “red dot design award”.
