Jakub Szczesny of Centralahas created a smart design of a house to be built in a very narrow spot between two tall buildings in the district of Wola, Poland. The site is so narrow that it can only accommodate interior that vary between 72 centimeters and 122centimeters. Can you imagine a living space in such a narrow area? With Szczesny’s creative mind, even such a small space can be used as functional house featuring common parts such as bedroom, bathroom and even a work space. Structurally, the house will be constructed in simple 3-dimensional triangular house that is vertically developed. The access to the building is a staircase that can be transformed using remote control; it can open as stairs when going down and be flat when being in “up” position. Such smart design is indeed suitable for maximizing space use in a busy city.
